Mhk Cold Store’s Warehouse Is Now Generating Clean Energy

UAE, Dubai: October 2020 MHK Cold Store, a state-of-the-art food and specialist logistic centre at Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 1, is now powered by clean energy. The 850 kWp solar rooftop plant has been operating for three months providing 60% of the facilities’ electricity requirements.

In its first year of operation, the solar plant will generate 1.5 GWh of renewable energy, offsetting more than 1,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions, corresponding to over 200 passenger vehicles driven for one year.

The clean energy used to power the facility will yield considerable savings for the next 20 years.
